What's the point of flagging and voting?

As far as I can tell, not a single image has actually been removed from LT regardless of whether the threshold has been met or exceeded. All of the images that are currently on the "removed" page are still out there -- as are many images that have long ago exceeded the threshold for removal and are no longer even displayed on the "removed" page.

I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't some sort of experiment in operant conditioning. How long will people continue to engage in behavior that has absolutely no consequence whatsoever?

I"m not one to talk, though. I haven't reached my personal limit yet, since I just finished voting on a few more images to be removed. But I'm beginning to feel a bit uneasy -- could this be what Kierkegaard called the "concept of dread?"

Hear, hear. Never mind the irrelevant or erroneous images, but there are dozens (hundreds?) of copyrighted images up on LT right now.

Aw shucks, mightn't you be overreacting?

Okay, give me an example image and I'll see why they're not going?

jburlinson, thanks for bringing this up, and tim, thanks for fixing!

But there are still some persistent problems in the new image system, like newly uploaded images not appearing in our author galleries, etc.

On my list. I fixed about 20 things today. Can't fix 21.
