Twice in school I have read the most dangerous game and really enjoyed it. I would like to find others like it, in that they revolve around violence, but don't show it. Their can be human hunting...that has its own pulling intrest in a novel.

Have you tried The Hunger Games or Lord of the Flies?

I was going to post Hunger Games as well. The Island of Doctor Moreau has some of that same creepy feel to it. So do many short stories by Shirley Jackson, Stephen King, and Flannery O'Connor.
"The Most Dangerous Game" is one of my favorites to read and to teach 9th graders.
