Do you have any favorite quotes that reference other works? What are they?

One of my favorites is listed in this group's description where Douglas Adams plays on Lewis Carroll's six other things mention by the White Queen in Through the Looking Glass. Another of my favorites can be found in Roger Zelazny's Doorways in the Sand. It reads:

"Behind me the beach was suddenly full of doorways, and I thought of ladies, tigers, shoes, ships, sealing wax and other lurkers on the threshold."

This quote references Lewis Carroll again as well as Frank R. Stockton's The Lady or the Tiger, which I'm a rather big fan of.

The lurker on the threshold Was a story started by H. P. Lovecraft and completed by August Derleth after his death.
