Eric Frank Russell books

Anyone know who did the cover for the Lancer 72-149 paperback of Dreadful Sanctuary? There seems to be a signature, but I can't make it out.

Same question for the Berkley F1088 paperback of Men, Martians and Machines.

And any others you many have. :-)

Hi. Could that be Micheal Whelan? Looks like him-wish I could see the human figure a bit better...

I believe this book is too early to be Whelan.

My bad, the above link took me to the Crown Legacy edition cover, not the Berkely pb.
