Mildly entertaining rhyming Halloween toddler story. Large format, large text makes it a really good toddler storytime title. There's not much of a story, it's really more of a short Halloween poem with engaging, bright illustrations. It's all on a black background which makes the pictures really pop with color.

This rhyming story evokes the mysteries of Halloween night: the sounds, smells, and scary costumes on their way for trick-or-treating fun. A unique illustration style of cotton fiber paints poured through stencils creates bold close-up views of the Halloween fun.

My favorite thing about this book is the large, simple, colorful illustrations. This is a very short rhyming story, and is wonderful for children under 3 who can't sit for as long. However, it is also good for children who are just beginning to read. Therefore, it has been a favorite of ours for many years now!

Cute Halloween book for children! I liked the rhyming, sing-song "story," and the illustrations are kinda quirky and fun.
