My respect for Scott Bakula as an actor increased enormously while watching him take on a wide variety of different personalities in this season - from a trapeze artist to a kidnapper; he also plays a theatre actor, a lawyer, a rabbi, a blind pianist... and even a teenager with serious learning difficulties.

All in all, this was an excellent season. ( )

Some episodes are better than others, but overalll I think this is a wonderful series, one I loved when it was on TV and was delighted to find it available on DVD. Technically science fiction but it's relationship-based rather than having anything too technical. ( )

Quantum Leap is one of my favourite series. So am starting on a rewatch. Season 1 is short and sets out the basic profile for what will come. I love the Sam and Al characters and the basics of their friendship and history are started here. ( )
