Siblings Liza, Bill and Jed are moving...to the old Blake place. The boys are excited and Liza isn't. Seems that the house has a reputation of being haunted by the ghost of John Blake.

Some strange goings-on start happening right after they move in. Coded messages, footprints, lights flashing and a few other things. Is the house really haunted or is someone pulling pranks.

A kids' read with adventure and mystery. I even tried to decode the messages...and did. A fast read for adults but a good chapter book for kids in elementary school. I enjoyed it and it is a nice break from my usual fare. ( )
