Description

She's beautiful and smart. She has just inhearited the Cleveland Indians. Unfortunately, she wants to move the franchise to Miami, and a losing season is her only ticket to Florida. She signs the wildest bunch of screwballs to play on the team. Her catcher is a washed-up womanizer who struck out in life. Her pitcher is a punked-out crazy who struck out with the law. Her third baseman is more concerned about fielding endorsements than grounders. Throw in other misfits and you could be show more destined for disaster. show less

The new owner of the Cleveland Indians wants to move the team to Miami so she gets a bunch of scrubs hoping they will be so bad the league will let her move the team. The team starts out horrid as expected but as the season goes along they get better.

I rather enjoy the hijinks in this movie. It doesn't hurt that one of my favorite actresses is in it. I decided to watch it today as Bob Uecker passed away today. His commentary is the funniest part of the movie by far.
