As a young music journalist in 1975, Stephen Davis got the opportunity of a lifetime: an invitation to cover the sold-out 1975 North American tour of Led Zeppelin, the biggest and most secretive rock band in the world, for a national magazine. He received a backstage pass, interviews with band members, and even a seat on the band's luxurious tour jet. While on duty, he chronicled the Zeppelin tour in three notebooks, but after writing his article in 1975 he misplaced them. After three decades of searching, in 2005 he finally found the notebooks and unearthed an amazing amount of new information from the tour.--From publisher description.… (more)

Only gets half a star because zero doesn't seem to be a clear review!
Puerile, with zero insights and dreadfully dated prose style.
If you own this, I recommend you throw it in the recycling and don't waste a moment of your life on this drivel. ( )

Led Zeppelin is no doubt one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Stephen Davis was lucky enough to join them on tour in 1975. His chronicles of the American tour were nothing less than amazing. While most people are familiar with the songs Davis gives you the details on what's going on behind the scenes. The groupies, drugs hotel parties and mostly the giant egos of the band are the highlights of this book. If you are a big fan of Led Zeppelin then you will love this book. Davis is also author of Hammer of the Gods another Led Zeppelin book. ( )
