Description
"The time has come for parenting to become what it was always meant to be - about the parent. Dr Shefali Tsabary details how our children can be raised as conscious adults only when we as parents allow ourselves to be raised into a higher state of consciousness."--Back cover.Tags

I read this a while ago, and actually went back to change my rating to 5 HUGE stars this book deserves. The first time I read this I was pregnant, and like most expecting parents, I had this vision of what kind of parent I wanted to be. We all want to be the best version of ourselves for our kids, it is the most natural thing there is. However, once those sleepless nights kick in, you fight off post-partum depression, or just get stuck in the routine and wanna lie down binging on your favorite show while your crawling baby demands every moment of your time - things drastically change. We tend to be happy with being a good-enough parent while trying to keep our own sanity.
But, Tsabary knows there is another way. Yes, sometimes it is show more difficult to be mindful of the moment, to be here right now with a screaming infant in tow. However, it is an immense opportunity to grow, to dive deep and get rid of the patterns that have been blocking us maybe since our own childhood. This book, especially the parts talking about why each stage of your baby's life is so special, really helps you get back on track and appreciate every moment.
I highly recommend this book. show less
