I actually taught myself Python (I am an experience C# developer) using online tutorials. But I got this book because it covered web development, which many online sources do not. (Even the MIT lectures on computer programming with python skip this). So the explanations on which system to use (Flask vs. Django) were helpful. It focused on Flask, which is fine, especially since if your learning a new system, you don't want to spend a lot of time learning the underlying system, but how to code the web pages and get your database information displayed properly. This proved to be quite efficient and enjoyable. The examples are clear and the exercises are challenging but not daunting. ( )

Epigraph
Dedication
I dedicate this book to all those generous people in the Python community who have helped to make this great little language the first-rate programming technology it is.
And to those that made learning Python and its technologies just complex enough that people need a book like this to learn it.
