I really enjoyed this little mystery, and plan to read the earlier Joe Barley books. His descriptions of college politics and in-fighting between departments like English and Business ring true. There is biting humour here, and the characters are fascinating. The mysteries of disappearing cars, anonymous letters, and a disappearing lecturer are very intriguing, as Joe Barley investigates in his unassuming way while trying to deal with the personal problem of needing a full-time job to support his soon-to-be family.
