A very good book on British front-line iron clads. It set a high standard for following publications who usually fall short of this effort by a master. lots of diagrams and deck plans. No photographs, originally copyright 1958. ( )

Definitive study of the history of British battleships. Many diagrams and plans. Less reliable on foreign warships, but essential for students of British naval history. ( )
