First Spiderman I've liked in a while. Probably since Civil War. ( )

This is great. Peter's got a job that he can actually use his brain in. And it's flexible to allow for Spider-Man. He's got a girlfriend he can talk about work with. He's got a place to hide his Spidey stuff. It's great! I think it might actually stick this time!

And how can you not love Spider-TRON! ( )

I've been reading Spider-Man on and off since I was a child. Slott knows how to write a classic, yet timely, Spider-Man story. The return of the Hobgoblin is great to see and I thoroughly enjoyed the twists in this collection of stories. The collection fails to get the full 5 stars because of the artwork. While it is generally fine, there were too many occasions where I struggled to grasp what I was supposed to be seeing. Faces also tend to be a mixed bag -some look believable and others were either half completed (because they're further in the background) or too cartoony. On the plus side, the Hobgoblin looks as he should -frightening and more than a little disturbed. ( )
