Someone once pointed out to me that it is more difficult to figure out what Copelston writes than to read the original thinkers. The observation is very telling, even grippingly witty, so that it may stick even if inapplicable; but somehow it corresponds with my own experience in reading Copleston (or perhaps just in studing thought). It does seem that an explanation ought to be simpler than what is trying to be explained. no reviews | add a review
