Oy vey! I read this as a teen or tween and found it memorable for one or two incidents. I finally sought it out and re-read it...when I was a kid, I didn't get how incredibly self-absorbed and dishonest the protagonist is. I have a hard time liking a book when I can't like the people in it... ( )
