I've been reading my way thru Robyn Carr's Virgin River Series an have really enjoyed it, becoming quickly engaged in the people and the town. I've found Denny and Becca's stories to be one of my favorites, perhaps because of it's potential for being a real story. Most couples in Virgin River fell in love at first sight and were married in 4 months (or so it seemed). Though I didn't plan to read this as a Christmas read, it was the next book in order for me. I read it in one day, on Christmas Eve and it just felt special. ( )

Denny dumped Becca when he headed off to war. Now he's back in Virgin River, so Becca invites herself to the men only hunting vacation, determined to show Denny that her heart isn't broken. But the weekend doesn't go as planned - she breaks her leg and is laid up in Virgin River for a few weeks, in the company of Denny. Back stories of the town and setting up characters for the next book make is interesting. ( )
