Author Eamon Evans presents short descriptions of the real people who inspired fictional characters. There are chapters on: alpha males, children, creatures, crime fighters, difficult women, eccentrics, geniuses, killers, ladies' men, military men, performers, secret agents, shady businessmen, teachers, teenagers, the long-suffering, and writers and journalists. The subjects range from classic literature to recent movies.
I enjoyed the stories, especially when I was familiar with the fictional character. I often wasn't! Maybe one to dip into rather than read cover to cover?
