Sequel to A CUTTHROAT BUSINESS, Savannah Martin Mystery #1ABOUT THE BOOK
When Savannah Martin's fellow Realtor and friend Lila Vaughn is robbed during an open house, Savannah rushes to the rescue with tea and sympathy, or at least a really good lunch and a shoulder to cry on. However, Lila seems more peeved than distraught, and her main gripe is that the sexy robber who tied her to a kitchen chair — for her own good — didn't follow her suggestion to tie her to the bed instead.
Lila's show more description of the man fits Savannah's old school-mate Rafael Collier to a T. Rafe has recently turned up in Savannah's life again, and he isn't above doing a little breaking and entering. Metro Nashville Homicide Detective Tamara Grimaldi is of the same opinion, and when Lila turns up dead, tied to her bed and strangled, Rafe becomes a suspect. Now Savannah must get busy finding the real murderer before Detective Grimaldi can arrest the wrong man.
Jenna Bennett writes the bestselling Do It Yourself home renovation mysteries for Berkley Prime Crime as Jennie Bentley, and the Cutthroat Business Southern real estate mysteries for her own gratification. A former Realtor® and home renovator, she makes her home in Nashville with a husband and two boys, a hyperactive dog, a killer parakeet, two African dwarf frogs and two goldfish. Originally from Norway, she's spent more than twenty years in the US and still hasn't been able to kick her native accent.
ADVANCE PRAISE
"Hot Property sizzles as the author proves that her hunky hero and spicy Southern heroine can heat up the pages quicker than two goats in a pepper patch. Full of charm and sass, this follow-up to A Cutthroat Business will have readers racing to the finish, only to devour the novel again and again."

I really enjoyed this little mystery. I love the romance entangled throughout the book. I would love to see Savannah and Rafe finally get together. Todd is boring and obviously not for her.
A good, strong follow up to the first book, A Cutthroat Business, although it was so fast paced it was over before I knew it. Just when I thought she was introducing a new possible suspect, the book was over! Still, I really enjoyed the read and I love the two main characters and I like how I suspect Ms. Bennett is going to redeem the rogue Rafe. I hope future books have Savannah making a few friends along the way and I look forward to continuing with the series.
