While I didn't love this book as much as I was hoping I would, I did still enjoy it. I have some Dutch heritage in me so it was fascinating to learn more about that, German, and fairy lore. Ominous and captivating is how I would describe this novel. I would recommend it. 4 out of 5 stars. ( )
