The Bird Alphabet Book (Jerry Pallotta's Alphabet Books)

Full of facts and fun, this book is intriguing with its array of feathered friends, one ofr each letter of the alphabet, from the familiar to the exotic.

This is a beautifully illustrated ABC book of birds. The author gives valuable and interesting information about each bird. I especially liked that he includes Bats at first, but explains that they are mammals and don't belong in the book...so he does another B bird.

This book goes through the alphabet using different birds that starts with that letter and describes that bird. For example, "P" is for penguin and then it tells a little about them like how they can not fly.

This book is great for children learning about the alphabet and birds. Also I like that they get to learn different facts about the birds in the book.

In the classroom, we could do an art activity and make a bird using paper, feather, and eyes. Also, each student can write a sentence about their bird.

This book was recommended to me from my neighbor who teaches young children. This book gives a name and description of a bird for each letter of the alphabet. Starting with "A" and ending with "Z", this book provides pictures and facts about each bird.
