Nate and his friends from P.S. 38 just want to beat the snobby Jefferson students at something for once, so they use their superior creativity to defeat them.
The foreshadowing of how the P.S. 38 students will beat the Jeffersons becomes very obvious near the end of the story. The cartoons of Nate and his friends, like Dr. Cesspool, are interesting and funny.
