Here She Lies

I gave this two stars only because while the plot itself was good; the main character was too wishy washy and totally weak. Also, there was way too much breast milk, breast pumping, milk dropping, my baby is missing omg my life is over, and did I mention the breast milk dropping? Seriously, I just skimmed over much of the final1/4 because I just wanted to find out whodunnit. Lief's next book better not have ANY babies or new moms in it.

I thought this was one of the best books I have read in a long time. It was an easy read and hard to put down. Some parts were drug out more than necessary but it was full of twists and turns. Of course you know the outcome but getting there is full of surprises. Wish I liked her other books like I liked this one.

A good read, but a little predictable. The characters are okay, but there is little development. A little heavy on "oh, so unexpected story twists". Maybe I'll try another book by this author someday.

Annie thought her husband, Bobbie, was having an affair because of mysterious credit card charges and emails. He vehemently denied the charge so Annie packed up their baby girl, Lexy, and went to stay with her twin sister, Julie.

Just before she arrived, a woman was found murdered on Julie's lawn, a woman that looked eerily like the twins. Was one of them the real intended victim? As events unfold, Annie discovers that she is a victim of identity theft and that the police suspect her of the murder. Then Julie leaves with Lexy and Annie finds herself accused of murder and her child apparently abducted.

The mystery is how she clears herself of the charges and gets her baby back. It is not such a big mystery who dunnit.
