Tim Hunter continues exploring the (DC) world of magic, this time with Doctor Occult (who takes an interesting turn as Rose Psychic during half of the journey). Although we get to see Gemworld and Skartaris briefly, we spend most of our time in Faerie, where it seems everyone has a trick they want to pull on the unsuspecting. It's the first time we really see that magic has a price. Charles Vess -- who would also collaborate with Gaiman on Stardust -- is a magnificent artist for the fairy world, making the magical seem almost possible.
