I had mixed feelings about this book. While I really enjoyed the series and the setting in West Quebec, this particular story just wasn't working for me. It is very timely, about missing native women, and the seeming lack of police action in looking very hard for them. However, I found the first 200 pages rather annoying and repetitive, and decided to set the book aside and read something else. When I came back to it several days later, I was glad I did, because the second half of the book was much more exciting and got me turning the pages.
