The Hippo Hop is a story about all the animals of the jungle going down to the Hippo Hop and dancing the night away to some great music with all their animal friends. There is a rhyme pattern that the entire story follows and it makes it for a very fun little read. I think this would be a great book to introduce to students as an early poetry book and get them in the habit of rhyming their words. A nice little book with funky illustrations.
This is a nice short book that is about a lot of animals going to a make believe place called the "Hippo Hop". It has a good beat to it as well as nice illustrations with lots of bright colors.
This is a creative picture book that tells the story through a rhyming song! This is an imaginitative story of animals sinqing and dancing!
I really loved this book. The illustrations were so bright and fun. I also really loved that this could be such an interactive book for the class. I can see myself using using this and the class stomping, clapping, and snapping along. I would really love to have this book in my future classroom.
A rhyming book about animals getting together to party at the hippo hop. Animals of all sort come together each night to have fun. A great book to teach children about people and animals of all kinds will come together to have fun and celebrate. Also, great to teach about dancing and playing musical instruments.
Gorilla does splits On the Hippo Hop floor. The wildebeest twists With the brown-eyed boar. Four lemurs lindy, An iguana jives, A mole named Mindy Gives a frog high-fives. The animals party all night long in a syncopated, rhyming story and dancing pictures. Young readers can chant the story, identify the animals and dances -- and laugh out loud. -- www.thriftbooks.com
