This a wonderful book to read to young children about going to the library. Maisy goes to the library to read books about fish, instead she find books about tigers. After a while she does get her fish book that she checks out with her friends. I like this book because it models good behavior at the library. It also lists the other things that can be done at the library like use the computer and so on. My young readers can be introduced to library etiquette through this book and I can also reinforce that there is always a book for every 'I wonder...'

Esta historia comienza muy bien. Todo va bien hasta que Maisy se ve perturbado por sus amigos. Siento que el libro va cuesta abajo desde allí. No me gusta el libro de los niños fueron leídos. Siempre he odiado ese libro. ¿Quién en su sano juicio podría escribir un libro así? Pero aparte de eso, este libro estaba muy bien. La vieja señora que se tragó una mosca realmente arruinó para mí. >.
This is my favorite Maisy book so far! Maisy goes to the library in search of a book about fish. She finds all sorts of other animal books but none about fish. She then looks around to see the other things she could do in the library, such as go on the computer, make copies, and look at fish in the aquarium. She went near the aquarium and found a book about fish. Maisy and her friends had storytime in the library, and they read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly! Maisy Goes to the Library is informative and funny! It's sure to be a hit with children.
A library has more than just books? Whhaaaat!? No way!! This is exactly what Maisy discovers.
While at the library Maisy is on a mission to find a book about fish while looking she discovers new things about this wonderful place. She discovers that the library is more then just books. Maisy finds computers, music, copy machine, aquarium, and story time. When she finds the aquarium full of fish, she then realizes next to it is a bookshelf full of fish books. She then checks the book out and reads it outside under the tree where it is quiet.

This is an excellent book for little ones. It explains all of the things that children can do in the library and makes it a positive experience. Maisy has fun and laughs in a reading group of other children.
This book would be great to help children feel comfortable in the library as well as learn how useful the library is.

This is a cute little book about a mouse going to the library to look for a book about fish. She looks in many places and meets her friends a long the way. I probably wouldn't read this to any one above K or 1st grade because it is a very simple book.
A good example of fantasy because the characters, all animals, interact and communicate as humans. Maisy, a mouse, visits the library looking for a book about fish. She looks all over the library and finally finds an aquarium, leading her to the books about fish. Her friends come to greet her and then it is story time at the library. The book There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly made them all giggle incessantly. Worn out from laughing, they all checked out their books and went outside to play. They acted out the story they had just heard while Maisy read her book in a quiet place. While this book is fictional, there are still some ideas that ring true with the reader. Just as Maisy enjoyed reading her book while her friends played, show more the reader can learn that friends do not always have to think the same ways or like all the same things. Just because your friends are doing something, it does not mean you have to also do that thing.
