I was impressed with the development of the two major new characters in this series. Changing of the Guard is literally that as the head of Net Force and it's paramilitary group is passed from the founders to a new group. Having both the "old" and "new" involved in the plot kept this from being a frustrating transition. Plot was typical Net Force and the resolution seemed a little contrived, but still a good pleasurable read.
It took me almost a month to read this 200 or so page book. The only reason I finished it was because I hate to leave a book unfinished.
There is good potential with the story line, but it is not developed. The main plot always is relayed to the background. The mayonnaise doesn't take as I would say.
