Author, Hedda Hopper, talks about different people and events during her time as a columnist during Hollywood's golden era. The chapters on Marion Davies and Louise Fazenda were particularly touching. The chapter on Clark Gable was superb and it was interesting to read about touring overseas with Bob Hope. However, the chapter on the House Un-American Activities Committee and the denouncement of Communists was a bit hard to take with no mention of the innocent people who were blacklisted and lost their careers. Overall, a good look at Hollywood from someone who was there through it all. ( ) no reviews | add a review
