Description

In the second novel of the Edilean trilogy, the setting returns to the idyllic Virginia town where three best girlfriends joyfully reunite as they each seek out their heartfelt dreams and desires. Kim Aldredge is delighted that her dear college "sister" Jecca has found lasting love with Kim's cousin Tristan. But despite her flourishing jewelry making career, Kim's own happiness seems as distant as the childhood summer when she played the hours away with young Travis Merritt, who came to show more Edilean with his mother under mysterious circumstances. At the end of that innocent season, he promised Kim he would return one day, and then vanished without even a goodbye. Years later, a worn photo is Kim's only proof of the perfect joy they shared. But when she least expects it, Travis, now a savvy Manhattan attorney, will crash into her life once more. Will Kim see the boy she knew under the man he has become? show less

Meeting when they were children helps to shape the people that Kim and Travis become. Years later as adults they still wonder about the two weeks that they spent together as children. We see great characters from previous books appear and some new but well loved characters join the story and the little town of Edilean. This is a really nice romantic and funny story.
A childhood friendship turns to budding romance under the watchful eyes of all Edilean. As always, there are complications... family secrets and conniving boyfriends to name only two. But of course there's a HEA, it's a romance after all.

FIRST LINES: The big office sprawled across a corner of the 61`st floor. Full-lenth windows went along 2 sides, offering breathtaking views of the skyline of New York.

COMMENTS: This is the 2nd entry focusing on Kim & Travis. Kim has a successful business as a jewelry designer but seems to be failing at finding a suitable relationship. The men she meets are all too insecure to appreciate her success and are threatened by her. Kim met someone 18 show more years ago when she was 8 -- they were best of friends for the short time he & his mother were staying in Edilean. She has never forgotten Travis and wonders whatever happened to him. She never knew his real last name & has not had any luck in tracking him down via the internet. However, Travis also never forgot Kim & has kept himself up to date on her status. He wanted to get established and separate from his wealthy father before coming back to see Kim. I enjoy these characters and am looking forward to the 3rd. book show less
