The concept of naked eating is to eat clean, whole, unprocessed foods. The authors ask that you investigate your food before bringing it into your kitchen. This is not only a good practice for the environment but will allow the preparer to create more healthy dishes. The first few chapters of this cookbook explain the concept of eating naked as well as how to stock your kitchen and preparation methods. The recipes contained have vegetarian versions and all are gluten-free. The authors are supportive of raw organic milks but include ways to make dairy free milks at home. I liked that the recipes varied from raw to cooked and included vegetarian and meat ideas. The recipes are all rated based on difficulty and easy to find. The book ends show more with sample menus and food seasons. All in all this is a good book for those who are investigating eating raw, vegan or unprocessed. show less

The information in this book is surprisingly accessible, with sufficient explanation for the lay person to understand. Even the tools of the trade are explained enough to allow for more easy purchase and wielding. Recipes are simple, though some call for ingredients that may be difficult to find or recognize. Presentation is somewhat lacking--a few pictures of the recipes would go far here. In addition, the narrative is somewhat clinical and could do with some personal stories. However, it is a good book for the introduction to "naked" cooking.

This is a fantastic cookbook / "diet" plan. It combines a lot of elements from different diets I've tried over the years: raw vegan, paleo, gluten-free, etc. It is literally the most sensible cookbook and health book I've ever seen. Some recipes are raw vegan, others have grass-fed organic meats. I don't feel like eating meat every day but an all-vegan diet doesn't work for me. This is a healthy balanced approach. Every dish is loaded with seasonal vegetables as the focus. Highly recommended.
Informational book- a very strict diet.
