Smith|https://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/authors/1432593093p2/6446003.jpg] is Science Fiction Adult Romance/Suspense. It is a fun and witty story. I am not going to say well written. It starts off with rapid fire suspense. About mid way there are definitely some problems with it. The 'Mating' word is overdone and overused. The world build is relatively well done, but there is room for improvement. There are areas that tend to be repetitive and make you roll your eyes. But! It is well worth reading. Zoran and his world is interesting. Abby is fun and a bit unusual for someone her age. It is a fast read. The romance is steamy hot. All the characters are a lot of fun. Zoran is an alien Dragon shapeshifter and has a symbiot. Abby, to be a true mate, must be accepted by all three. A real twist on Science Fiction and Paranormal. It could’ve been so much worse! The good: Plot idea was good, once they left Earth it hit its stride and wasn’t so “convenient”. The action also started then. It wrapped up the book’s plot quite well, while setting up for the next one. I doubt I’ll read it, but it was set up well. Extra characters were likable. The MC’s were relatively likable. The bad: Editing, while not abysmal as expected, screwed up names a couple of times. The beginning was choppy, rather fast/forced and oh so convenient. I expected the cheesy, I mean, come on! If you pick up a PNR about an alien dragon shifter abducting his true mate from Earth, and you aren’t ready for cheesy, you’re either mad or stupid. There is a LOT of sex, a bit Neanderthal sex at that, but she’s willing and able, so as long as you’re down with that, there you go. The male MC is also a bit, “me big male dragon, you submit!” (insert grunt), so be cool with that too. The female MC has some fight in her, but also a LOT of swoon. There is some fainting involved. *snorts* Abby lives alone on a mountain. An alien crashed into her yard and she saves him. Their need to communicate is hindered by her not understanding him. But their attraction is very easy to read. Then she is whisked away to his home planet with some of her friends and destined to be their mates. Not my cup of tea...to predictable. no reviews | add a review

I did find the set up of the story very interesting. The romance as a whole was completely solid and I really enjoyed this couple together. The hero crash lands on the planet, finds out that Abby is his mate, and she ends up in danger from multiple enemies, and they have to work through the outer conflicts that wish to drive them apart. There are quite a few hot steamy moments between these two. But I think what I really enjoyed the most was the outer conflicts in the plot in the later half of the story. It wasn't really what I expected, if I am being honest, and their time together as dragons *my heart* I just enjoyed seeing what the author delivered in this story.
I am not super eager to read the rest of the series though, because the other couples we are introduced to its going to be so angsty and just from the interactions we saw in this book, doesn't make me super excited. Because it looks like all of them will be enemies to lovers set ups and quite frankly all the heroines look to be abusive brats lol not really my cup of tea but I might read through some reviews and see if those change my mind.
Overall I had a blast with this one and very intrigued about this author's other works. Abducting Abby was a sexy alien romance that had bonker alpha vibes, a charming heroine, unexpected plot surprises and a delightful cast of characters to delight in. ( )
