Reliable and extensive, but not quite as extensive as other Lonely Planets. Information on smaller towns is comparatively scarce, as is transport information. Still enough for a longer stay in Vietnam, but a second guidebook comes in handy at times.
In de zomer van 2008 deze gids gebruikt om door Vietnam te trekken. Veel goede tips, maar ik miste de adviezen om af en toe ook buiten de gebaande paden te komen. In Vietnam is alles over-georganiseerd, maar er zijn best mogelijkheden om toch wat minder massaal rond te trekken. Dat is ons helaas niet gelukt. Ik zou adviseren om een andere reisgids mee te nemen en dan heb ik goede verhalen gehoord over The Rough Guide.
