When the new pastor of Covington discoveres that the former pastor from 40 year ago was never ordained, and was therefore not qualified to marry anyone, 5 long-standing marriages are thrown into a crisis. It is planned that on Christmas Eve these 5 couples will be remarried; however, last minute obstacles theated to stop the weddings.........
