Dr. Leonard Lee Rue III has lived in the outdoors among the creatures that he photographs and writes about for most of his life. For several decades, he was the most published wildlife photographer in North America, with more than 1,800 magazine covers to his credit. He is the author of thirty books on wildlife, including The Deer of North America show more and The Way of the Whitetail, and has written monthly columns for Deer and Deer Hunting and Whitetail Times magazines. In 1997, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA). Rue resides with wife and collaborator Uschi in Hardwick, New Jersey. Charles Alsheimer is the author of seven bestselling books on the white-tailed deer. Alsheimer's articles and photographs are regularly featured in America's leading outdoor magazines, and he is considered one of the top authorities on deer behavior. In 2000, a national survey sponsored by Deer and Deer Hunting magazine named him one of deer hunting's top five inspirational leaders of the twentieth century. show less
