I don't have cats right now, but I grew up with several. This book is scarily accurate. Also hilarious. It would have been worth buying just for the long chapter "Cat vs. Internet," but the handy "Having a Baby vs. Having a Cat" chart is also quite important. "When upset, babies moan like overweight, needy vultures. (vs.) When upset, cats go kill something in the yard and then take a six-hour power nap. Cats handle pain like champs." Very true.
The book arrived at work today, where I had it delivered. While the kids in my class were doing their things, I flipped through the book and instantly giggled. I couldn't wait to read it all. Because I still had an hour of teaching to do, I lend the book to a colleague of mine who's as crazy about cats as I am. She was laughing out loud several times.

During the lunch break, she, another colleague and me read the book, surrounded by people who had no clue what we giggled about. We laughed until we cried a lot of times. The drawings are amazing. The punchlines are as well. This book is amazing. I don't even care if a lot of stuff is available for free online, it's wonderful to read it in an actual book, together.

(and I'll never be able show more to see my cat as this innocent creature at all anymore, haha) show less
This book was a hilarious interpretation of life with a cat. Matthew Inman has obviously been owned by a kitty. My favorite chapter was If we treated our cats like they treat us". Ah, sweet revenge. The chapter I didn't care for was "How to tell if your cat is a raging homosexual". I was just kind of like "Really, who cares?" Overall, I was laughing so hard I fell off the couch."
How is it I never wrote my thoughts about this?

I like cats. I also think they can be massive assholes. Like horses can be. I'm really glad I can at least pick up the cats.

Also both of them interrupted me while writing this. One by jumping on my table and the other one by sitting in the doorway and just kept on mauwing.

I think I had a point I wanted to make but I forgot it. This book is the paper version of the behaviour of cats. It doesn't always makes sense, like this review, but you can see the funny side of it.
This was a runner-up for the 2012 "Best in Humor" Goodreads of the year award and with good reason. This book was hilarious six ways from Sunday! The author, Matthew Inman, an innate comedic genius and cat whisperer, authored this LOL, comic strip-style book that presents cats and their behavior anthropomorphically (a style similar to Gary Larson's "The Far Side")

Author Inman's secret recipe:

All Natural, No-Meth, Endorphin Releaser (see disclaimer)

This CATalicious dessert, made from an exotic blend of humor genera, creates a unique, endorphin-releasing, mirthful experience bound to arrest even the most sour of moods.

Take equal parts of blue and CAThartic humor; add 1/2-Cup situational cat behavior and a teaspoon of anecdotal examples; show more bake at 350 degrees for 7-10 minutes. Remove from oven allow to cool. Sprinkle with a touch of macabre for artistic presentation.

Yield: 1 serving of stress-relieving, blood-pressure lowering, heart healthy dose of humor.

Disclaimer: Recipe quality may suffer or flop altogether for those who haven't had any experience with cats. Cat owners/lovers will experience a greater more satisfying result; whereas cat haters and/or ignoramuses will only be wasting their time trying to find the door to the inner circle of the former.

A large part of this collection (*cough*Bobcats*cough*) fell pretty flat for me. However, the parts that made me laugh my face off whilst simultaneously nodding my head so hard I thought I'd break my neck, more than made up for those lackluster bits.

Recommended to all potential victims of (so-obviously premeditated murder by) fuzzy psychos aka humans with "loving" feline "companions".

I saw this and I just had to buy it!

I have two cats,(evil as hell) and reading this book made me half way die laughing and go, yeah my cats does that. But then I start thinking, my laughter stops, are my cats trying to kill me?... Well that would clear something's up...well, now what do I do? [panic ensues]...lol..

I love the comics, the artwork, and it came with poster!

You should really pick up this book, if you know cats, have a cat, (or don't, you'll still get it)you'll bust a gut, but at the sametime, in the back of your mind, you'll think, Is he really?

Sleep with one eye open. lol

Since fans of the genre never tire of jokes about cats pouncing on you in the night, batting you in the face, chasing imaginary creatures, wanting their tummies rubbed, and other proof that cats are crazy, cat humor appears to be above criticism.
