I liked the way this book identifies the colors of the boots, which is easy for preschoolers to learn and pick up on. Also, I liked how this book sparked sharing, where the other goslings let Ollie have one of their boots.
Ollie the Stomper by Olivier Dunrea is part of the series Gossie and friends. This book is about a little gosling named Ollie who wants to be like Gossie and Gertie and wear boots. This book is a good book for a kindergartener to read independently.

Olivier Dunrea was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1953. He earned a B.A. from West Chester State College in 1975 and his M.A. in theater and music from Washington State University the following year.
