Snipers and Shooters: The Kill Shot Out of Nowhere

I picked this book up in a bargain bin at a service station when I was on my travels and thought why not give it a go. Every now and then I do not mind reading a true crime novel but this was bordering on okay.
This book is a collection of very short chapters that collate a litany of people who have killed with a gun. There is not much depth or a real exploration of motives to what has happened. What you get is an overview of who the murderer is, what they did and whether they were caught or not. The style is fairly factual and a like long newspaper article short on any detail.
The only thing this book reinforced for me is that there needs to be better gun and ammunition control. Unfortunately for the author, the publisher literally cuts show more some of the chapters short in mid-sentence.
This was a quick read, scary when you realise how many people have chosen to go on shooting rampages and just tells you the basic facts. show less
