Description

This work provides a clear and comprehensive exposition of the law of tort. This edition is fully updated to include recent developments in this fast-moving area of law. All aspects of the law of tort are discussed in detail, and particular attention is paid to areas which students tend to find the most difficult. There is discussion of numerous cases, including those concerning duty of care, liability for psychiatric injury, breach of duty, quantum, occupiers ' liability and other show more mainstream areas of tort studied on undergraduate and professional courses. The substantive law is set in the context of the Civil Procedure Rules 1998 and changes in the availability of legal aid, as well as other institutional and social changes. show less

This is a truly scary book and in the best British tradition of mysteries. Matthew Gardner falls in love with a lovely English widow with three daughters and moves his job to London to take up residence with Caroline and her children in their large Hampstead home. But the girls are determined that he must not stay and the troubled older daughters, young socio-paths in the making as one reviewer said, slowly carry out a campaign of hatred with chilling results. A great read.
