My kids have voted this not merely the funniest Gordon Korman book (and that in itself would be saying a lot) but the funniest book ever - it's a hilarious spoof of rock bands, high school band festivals, fandom and general craziness, set in Toronto. This book, like Bugs himself, is The Most!

This explains why we have something like five copies.... everybody needs at least one.

It also explains the utterly bizarre birthday gift my eldest daughter received from her best friend when she was a second-year university student. It was a large cardboard carton filled with a plethora of small wrapped gifts, one representing each of the rock bands mentioned in the book. A detached crystal (from a Busted Chandelier); a bottle with aspirins (for Migraine); a Flying Tortoise (this was a Mario Brothers toy); a Nuclear Teacup (with the international atomic symbol inked onto its side)... and ON and ON.

Some books just lend themselves to this kind of thing. ( )
