A sweet love story about the power of God when we follow His path. I found myself really caring for the characters. While no real twists or turns, it held my attention and I enjoyed this recommendation.
An immigrant from Czechoslavakia, Sophia Velikonja finds herself keeping house for a grieving widower and his three children. Gradually, her loving presence and gentle wisdom brings the family back together again. I found Sophie to be a wonderful character - caring, intelligent, warm hearted and loving. She made me laugh and she made me cry. This is a beautifully written, feel-good story that I was sorry to finish.
I've read this book several times. It's simply written but a wonderful story about a woman from Czechoslovakia who becomes a housekeeper for a man and his three children. The relationship that grows between them is sweet and often humorous. This is one of my favorite Lori Wick books
Although not my favorite of her books, I do love this book of Lori Wick's. It is excellent. This is a sweet story about a lady who gets to come to America from Czechoslovakia. She gets a job as a waitress in a dumpy dive but needs something better. A lady in her Bible study thinks she would be the perfect housekeeper for her brother's family who's wife/mother has died in a car accident. She gets the job and the family falls in love with Sophie's Heart!
Engaging, warm, and memorable heroine
This book is amazing. It has such heart and it really creates emotion in the reader. This book is something you won't put done until you are through with it!
This is my favorite book, I read it every year at least once!
