This is a lavishly presented book with charts by one of the main actors of the biggest battleship battle. The prose is workmanlike, and this is the recollections of the man in charge, and does illustrate a good deal of the difficulties encountered in Jellicoe's attempt to bring off the Nelsonic victory bayed for by the popular press and politicians of the time. It is much referred to by later writers trying to advance their various causes. ( ) A detailed account of the Grand Fleet in WW1 by its leader Jellicoe. Detailed to the point it reads like his diaries. Little information on conditions and the shops themselves plus the German High Seas fleet or no dramatic rendition of Jutland. Understandable upon consideration so I needed to search further for this. no reviews | add a review
