In a witty, engaging style, & drawing on self-experince, Newman has written an in-depth portrait of a teen-ager's struggle with weight, popularity, & the choices one deals with at that age.
An excellent read full of delicious puns..

Humorous look at the self-image of a 13-year-old girl and her attempt to be popular and thin. The diary-style entries detail the thought process as a teenager struggles to be what she thinks she should be. I don't think the cover really does the book justice....I'll have to push this book to get students to read it.
What a waste of time. Boring and preachy.
A book you can learn a lot from! Moral: you are who you are; love yourself the way you are!
