Sometimes all you need is a hug from a friend.

I would use this book as a read aloud to encourage my students to love one another. The animal friends are trying to make one of their friends smile, and it would bring a positive energy into the classroom.

I did not like this book. I think it teaches children that there is always a sad friend and there is no explanation for why that friend is sad but to continue trying to cheer up your friends which is an interesting lesson to be teaching children.

this is a cute story about a sad mouse. all of his animal friends tell him to cheer up but he just isn't cheering up. in the end, someone gives him a hug and that makes everything better!

Summary: All of mouse's friends try cheering him up with things they like to do and none of them are working. The only thing that worked was at the end when one of them gave him a simple hug.
Review: Great and adorable story. It introduces kids to a lot of animals and what they like to do. Illustrations were intriguing as well.
