This Pride and Prejudice sequel concentrates on the first year of the Darcy's marriage when a rumour takes hold of a gigantic stag living in the local woods - a perceived threat to the werewolves of Pemberley - but who is spreading these rumours and why.
An enjoyable and quick read.

Esta autora sabe cautivarte con su narrativa, siempre plantea las situaciones con ingenio y acierto. Al haber tantos hombres lobos y cada uno con su historia, su parte humana, los hacen vulnerables porque interviene la parte emocional y mental. Los hay rebeldes, snobs, resentidos, chulos, con rasgos de líderes, buenos cazadores, vagos, etc. Y cada uno tiene que ser manejado y controlado por el líder de la manada. Pasan por un aprendizaje de adaptación que no siempre resulta fácil y en buenos términos.

A pesar de la brevedad de la historia es interesante porque nos permite conocer un poco más de ese mundo, aunque nos deja con esa sensación de querer profundizar más y de seguir recorriendo cada vida que involucra ese mundo lupino.

Este libro tiene una buena dosis de intriga y son emocionantes los momentos de angustia que incluye en el mundo de los lobos. Encontraremos el amor, por supuesto, pero también asesinato, lucha de clases, lucha por el control, aunque se descubrirá que no todo es controlable. Todo esto hace un ritmo de lectura muy vivo con su dosis de erotismo y un final bastante abierto.

Es muy destacable de ambos libros que Simonsen nos muestra a un señor Darcy más pasional, más vehemente, más intenso en todo lo que hace y en cómo ama y protege a los suyos.
