Amelia Bedelia Unleashed

This book is about a character named Amelia Bedelia, who is adventurous, crazy, and full of fun. She is a very imaginative person, and one day she begs her parents to get a dog, which takes quite a bit of convincing of her mother. Her mom finally gives in, and then it is up to Amelia to decide what kind of a dog she wants which proses a problem for her as she has a very difficult time choosing, but finally does by the end of the book. This is a great chapter book for students in the 3rd-5th grade age range because it is a bit longer than most short chapter books and does have a larger vocabulary. It is also a great book because it is about a girl that young females could relate to with her struggles and fun, crazy, adventures.

I am loving reading these to my daughter. The dad’s jokes make me laugh. I just adore Amelia Bedelia.
