We finally get Caleb Edgington and Carlotta Buckley’s story. Caleb and Carlotta met when Hunter Edgington rescued her from her abusive husband in SURRENDER TO ME. There were sparks between Caleb and Carlotta at the time and it was mention again in BELONG TO ME at the wedding of Hunter and Kata. I had wondered if Carlotta was ever going to heal from the abuse that she suffered at the hands of her ex-husband. It wasn't physical abuse but in many ways emotional and mental abuse is worse.

The story picks up two years later during the Thanksgiving holiday. Hunter asks his dad if he can help get a house ready that Hunter purchased for Kata as a Christmas present. Caleb is frustrated with his efforts to court Carlotta. When he kissed her on show more a second date Carlotta ran and has avoid him for the most part. He sees an opportunity to spend time with her if they can work on the house together.

Caleb is a military man that is all alpha male and a Dominant that has denied his nature for too many years. He is a loyal, honorable and caring man that needs a woman that will stand up to him when he gets overbearing but will submit to his needs in the bedroom. He hasn't had any long term relationships since his divorce many years ago. Caleb is fascinated with Carlotta and he is very determined to win her. I also think that he was very patient with her. I am not sure how many men would have taken her back when she ran away a second time.

Carlotta is a caring and compassionate person as so many that are doctors and nurses tend to be. She has had her confidence shattered by a despicable man that was selfish and mean. She has worked very hard to find her feet and become a stronger happier person. When she finally realizes that she loves Caleb she knows that she has found the man that will satisfy her sexually and always protect her.

This is a really quick little story. I finished it in record time because I had to know what was going to happen next. I enjoyed it very much and when recommend it to any that like erotic romance. There is a little bondage and some very light Domination and submission. Mostly it is just a finish to a story told several books ago. Oh, yes we get to see more of Jack, Morgan and their son Brice, Tyler, Del and their son Seth (Del is very pregnant), Luc, Alyssa and their daughter Chloe, Deke, Kimber and their son Caleb, Logan and Tara, Xander and Hunter and Kata. show less
