Good - very Brand. I cried. She's stubborn but not stupid - or not much. Is Luke new in this story? - that is, was he ever mentioned before? She needs to have more singles about for later stories! Luke giving up his truck and then finding out he might not have the house...Luke discovering what it means to be a Brand...Like it.

Luke Brand found his long lost family in Texas and realized that being a loner wasn't cut out for him. Jasmine and her son also found family in Texas, but being loners were all they knew and Jasmine wanted to keep it that way, and for good reason. She was being hunted by a murdering, no good cop. And the only way to get her life in order was to get as far away from him as possible, so showing up on Luke's door was totally a coincidence, but falling for him and his family wasn't.
