It is very informational and entertaining for kids mainly in grades K-3rd, but can be used in any elementary classes. The photographs are informational and cool to see. The poems are quite detailed about each particular one, saying what they eat, what special things they do, and even how they mate. This book is beneficial to teach about poems and how they work or are organized. Commentary: Students can use this book to learn about insects but at the same time learn how poems work. A teacher can use this to not only teach about the insects but how to actually write a poem about a certain subject.
