I bought this for $1 from a used book stall, and $1 is about all it's worth. 3 very insipid stories, incl. one by Jo Berverley, who usually is much better, that were forgettable even as you read them. Nothing offensive here, just poorly written, naif pseudo medieval books, where the setting was just wall paper and it had no real medieval feel at all. Didn't feel much like Christmas either. Silly all round. The last one, by Deborah Simmons, about the widow who escapes from the freezing cold to the older earls castle was the best of the lot, the Beverley one, with the 2 families warring over the crusade banner and kidnapping the wrong girl was forgettable and the middle one I skimmed. C-, no worth the investment.
